11In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the same day all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the floodgates of the sky were opened.
12The rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights.
12The rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights.
We learned that the rain fell and the ark was lifted up. We also learned that every living thing died except those who lived on the ark. We also learned that the water prevailed on the earth for 150 days.
Arg! Can you just imagine being confined with a ark full of animals...like a Zoo...if the noise didn't kill ya I bet the smell would. And Noah was 600 years old...taking care of his family and the animals...what a task that must have been...
Tomorrow's reading is about the flood subsiding...please join in with me tomorrow as we read Genesis 8:1-22
Until then...Have a blessed day today.
